From the stats we both lost last weekend, but both won the time before. We should have Tualava and Chris Jones back to start. We need make Rosie welcome, but no idea how, apart from singing ‘nice one David, nice one son…’

Our forwards and backs need to seriously fire for all 80 + minutes. We need to get our own back for that loss last time we played Exeter at home. Who can forget the bloody embarrassment!

Matavesi has had 5 weeks since Gloucester to sharpen up (a lot). Betty should start, so a couple of old West Country rivalries there. Cowan on the bench as well I hope. Leaving our other West County signing Josh Dranui to have a big game.

I maybe wrong and hopefully it will be proved so, but I can't see a win here Exeter just seem to know how to grind out results. :smt012

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME...

Plus the most incompetent Ref in the premiership (by a considerable margin).

Are you saying Mr Rose is worse than JP and Mr Small? All I can say is I hope all of our players are aware of Mr Steenson and his kicking ability.

The oh so wise Jeremy Guscott has predicted a home win by 7 points.

I'm stunned by his optimism for us.

PENALTY POINTS

Without the estimable Steenson they would not have gained promotion when they did! Which may have been fortuitous for us as we would have had the Chiefs to contend with during our lurch back to the heady heights of the Premiership!

All gone quiet your end Gassy? Not thinking of admitting you were wrong in your critique of Rosie are you?
Those having watched the game on Premiership think he had an ok game, and called most things right...what say you? :smt003

I'm sticking up for MGI here, loafer. Some may feel that Rose got most things right (not me!) but, even if he did, the things he got wrong were pivotal. Lemi's try was good and Rose initially gave it (from a perfect position) but he listened to his touch judge, who was merely guessing, IMO. The deliberate knock-on was a more nailed on penalty try than the one he gave against us at Castle Grim without even the consolation of a yellow card, and JD's yellow was a bit harsh, to say the least. Rose and JP Doyle have cost us dearly this season with unbelievable decisions and we could have been safe a long time ago. I'm not saying that we haven't made mistakes, and I said at the game on Saturday that we gave too many opportunities for Rose to prove what a poor ref he is (not exactly my words, but the actual ones would be censored!). A couple of wins from those close games would have given the team momentum and who knows how that may have panned out.

STALE NEWS

My opinion of Rose has been honed in the furnace of both the Championship & the Premiership, and is based on his performance over the many occasions we have suffered on the anvil of his incompetence!

Does this answer your query Ledbury Loafer?

Incidentally, I may well be a twit (the fact that I took the trouble to respond to such a vacuous post would indicate so) but I am certainly not arrogant!
